The privacy of our beneficiaries, donors, and tenants is important. We gather, use, and safeguard information in order to carry out our mission of sharing ministries of humanitarian care and service with the surrounding neighborhoods. We strive to provide quality services, and to be good stewards of the rent and donations we receive to carry out our mission. This policy has been adopted to maintain the security, integrity and confidentiality of personal information. Our employees and volunteers access personal information to meet the needs of those we serve. We may also access personal information when considering requests for additional services, or when exercising our rights under the law.
We collect non-public personal information from beneficiaries and tenants on applications for service and on other forms. We restrict access to personal information to those employees and volunteers who need to know that information so that we can provide services. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect personal information.
Personal information of beneficiaries is NOT shared unless we have a signed release to share information in order to provide services. We share information about people receiving services with the I-Count Network’s Service Point database when a release is signed.
We are grateful to donors and tenants. Unless a request for anonymity is made, names of donors and tenants may be disclosed in communications and on our web site. If a request for anonymity is made, or if consent to release information is withdrawn, all information gathered from that point forward will be kept confidential. However, information published before any request for anonymity is made or before a release is withdrawn may remain public.
